Anna started out working on 'Footballer's Wives' and 'Bad Girls' and now works on an exciting variety of Live Entertainment shows such as 'The Voice' and 'Dancing on Ice', to name but a few. She was a member of the 'Strictly Come Dancing', BAFTA Award winning team. Known for her creativity in hairstyling, Anna also works with many different celebrities and personal clients for Red Carpet events. She has also a long list of Editorial clients such as Ok Magazine, The National Portrait Gallery and Good Housekeeping.


Deborah Taylor trained at the BBC and has since worked on many films and TV dramas. Her many years of experience include her work as personal make-up artist to Laurence Fishburne on all three 'Matrix' films, to Jeremy Irons and Forrest Whitaker on 'The Fourth Angel', to Kathy Bates and Billy Zane on 'Titanic', to Robert de Niro on 'Stardust', and to Benicio del Toro on 'Wolfman'. Deborah has also worked on 'Saving Private Ryan', 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory', 'Star Wars - Revenge of the Sith', 'Sweeny Todd', and 'Fred Claus'. Deb has also worked on the Martin Scorsese film ' The Invention of Hugo Cabret', 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4', Tim Burton's 'Dark Shadows' and 'Sherlock Holmes 2' . Jo Nielson’s work and reputation is highly regarded in the West End having worked on ‘Oklahoma’, ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Phantom of the Opera’, ‘125th St’, ‘Jailhouse Rock’, ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’, ‘The King and I’, ‘My Fair Lady’, ‘The Witches of Eastwick’, ‘Donmar Warehouse’ and numerous operas and ballets at the Royal Opera House. Jo was the Wigs Supervisor on ‘Betty Blue Eyes’ in addition to Head of Department for the West End production of ‘Mary Poppins’. Jo is currently working as a Hair and Make-Up Supervisor on ‘Wicked’. In film, Jo has worked on ‘Sherlock Holmes 2’, ‘Dark Shadows’, ‘The Duchess’, ‘Trance’, ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ and ‘Maleficent’. In TV, Jo’s many credits include ‘BBC News’, ‘Graham Norton’, ‘The Dame Edna Treatment’, Olympic Ceremonies, ‘Downton Abbey’ and dailies on many Tiger Aspect Productions.


Known in the West End for her high standards and excellent work, Laura Solari has worked in the theatre dressing wigs for over 10 years. She has worked as Wig Assistant on such productions as 'Oliver' and 'Phantom of the Opera', progressing to Wig Mistress on 'Witches of Eastwick', 'Jailhouse Rock' and 'Mary Poppins', amongst others. In recent years, she has worked as Head of Hair on 'Strictly Come Dancing' and on films such as 'Dark Shadows', 'Anna Karenina', 'X Men : First Class', 'War Horse', 'The Invisible Woman' and period dramas such as 'Downton Abbey' Series 3. Having started her career as a hairdresser, Lorraine has been working in the Film and Television industry for over 15 years. Having trained and worked at the BBC from 1989 to 1996, Nikki worked on numerous dramas, comedies, children's programmes, and Light Entertainment shows, including 'House of Elliot', 'Pride and Prejudice', and 'Absolutely Fabulous'. Since then, Nikki has worked on many shows such as 'The Apprentice', 'So Graham Norton', 'The Jonathon Ross Show', and dance shows such as 'Don't Stop Believing' and 'Got to Dance'. One of the best in the business, Sallie Jaye worked for years at the BBC before becoming a Make-up Designer for feature films such as 'Prince of Persia', 'Johnny English Reborn', 3 Woody Allen films, 'Blood Diamond', 'Gosford Park', and 'The Beach'. Recently, she designed the film 'Mortdecai', starring Johnny Depp and Gwyneth Paltrow. Sallie has won 2 BAFTAS and a Royal Television Society Award.

Tara's beauty and fashion work has been published in magazines such as GQ, Esquire, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Red, Stylist, The Times Style and Culture, Dazed & Confused, Hunger, Men's Health and Glamour. With over a decade's experience in West End Salons, Thomas is an expert in Haircutting and Gentlemen’s grooming. Thomas also regularly works with well renowned companies such as ‘Pantene’, ‘Head and Shoulders’ and ‘Gillette’. His versatile style has led to him restyling the cast of ‘Wicked’ for the Musical Tour 2013/14 and looking after the Canadian National Team at the London 2012 Olympics. Armed with a precise teaching manner, Thomas tutors an “understanding of not just how but why we perform and execute cutting techniques vital to excelling in hair.” After 10 days of intense haircutting in which students learn a multitude of styles from basic women’s cuts to bobs and barbering, they leave the course feeling confident and ready to make use of their cutting skills in the workplace.


Trefor Proud trained at Delamar Academy in 1988. Since then, he has become one of the leading make-up artists in the industry. Trefor has worked on numerous feature films including 'Gladiator', 'Star Wars - Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace', 'GoldenEye', 'Closer', 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', and 'First Knight'. In 2000 Trefor won an Oscar for Best Make-up and Hair on 'Topsy-Turvy', followed by an Emmy Award in 2008 for Best Special Make-up Effects Artist and Designer for his work on the HBO mini-series 'John Adams'. Vicky Voller trained at the BBC and works today in film and television in all three genres; make-up, hair and prosthetics. She is perhaps best known for setting up the BBC medical drama ‘Holby City’s’ prosthetic department. Vicky worked initially on the hugely successful and ongoing programme for three years as Series Make-Up and Prosthetic Designer before becoming Series Prosthetic Designer for a further ten years. She continues her cutting edge prosthetic work on programmes including ‘Call the Midwife’, ‘Eastenders’, ‘A Young Doctors Notebook’ and ‘Lewis’, to name a few. Vicky’s most recent hair and make-up work has been in the crowd rooms on ‘Call the Midwife’, ‘Endeavour’, ‘The White Queen’, ‘Horrible Histories’, ‘Yonderland’ and on feature films ‘Fury’ and ‘Mortdecai’. Andy's Prosthetics career began with commercials and low budget videos, after which he moved to the BBC Visual Effects Department where he was asked to develop Kryton, a comical robot character from Red Dwarf. Andy has produced the prosthetics and animatronics for numerous other projects.



With over 20 years of experience, Annabel has worked on films such as 'Alexander', 'Sense and Sensibility', 'Evita', 'Gladiator' and the James Bond Series. Her TV work includes GMTV, ABC News USA and productions such as 'Band of Brothers'. She is a consultant for the UK Skin Camouflage Network Society, and her passion is skin camouflage, having worked in this specialised area for 15 years. Annabel is a freelance beauty journalist and has written for titles such as 'Time Magazine' as well as 4 years as beauty Editor for 'Shattered' magazine' in New york. As owner of 'Flourish Make-up Ltd', she has led teams of make-up artists for specialised events, parties, press junkets, pop videos and making up celebrities. She is currently developing a series of camouflage make-up products to take to market later this year, with her company 'Recover Beauty Ltd'. 


Catherine Scoble's many credits as a Make-up and Hair Designer include 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels', 'The Fourth Angel', 'Murder City' (Series 1 and 2), 'Dirty War', 'Trial and Retribution', 'Above Suspicion', and 'This is England'. Catherine has won a BAFTA Craft award for Best Make-up and Hair Design for 'This is England 86'. Her recent work includes the TV drama 'Fortitude' for SKY Atlantic and also designing upcoming action thriller ‘Stratton’. With over 18 years of experience, Joanne’s portfolio includes assisting some of the top make-up artists (including Mary Greenwell, Lisa Eldridge, Kay Montano, and Wendy Rowe, to name only a few) on shows in Milan/Paris/London, where she worked on the best models and with some of the most prestigious designers. She then went on to get her own agent and secured large advertising jobs/editorial/cover work for magazines/music videos and personal makeovers for celebrities. Adding commercials and high end television shows to her impressive body of work, Joanne continues to love her job.



Having trained and worked at the BBC for many years, Lucy Cain has since worked as Make-up and Hair Designer on many TV series and comedies, such as 'EastEnders', 'The Office', 'The Kumars at No 42' and 'Dead Ringers'. Lucy was BAFTA nominated in 2010 for her work on 'The Impressions Show with Culshaw and Stephenson' and has recently designed the feature film 'The Sweeney', starring Ray Winstone, and 'Song for Marion' starring Vanessa Redgrave. Raphaelle is internationally renowned for her Body Painting, having won the title of World Body Painting Champion twice. She teaches classes and seminars all over the world.



Sarah trained at Delamar Academy in 1990 and has since forged a successful career as a fashion make-up artist, working on countless advertising and editorial shoots, television commercials, Red Carpet events, as well as in the music industry. Wendy brings with her a wealth of experience in working with wigs and in the theatre. She has worked at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, for the last 12 years as a freelance wig and make-up technician. She has been Wig Mistress on 'Oliver', 'Chicago', 'Oklahoma' and the 'Witches of Eastwick'. She has also worked on 'Carmen Jones', 'Crazy for You', 'Phantom of the Opera', 'Les Miserables'. She works at the Royal Court Theatre and The Globe Theatre. Her talents though don't stop at theatre, she has worked on 'Downton Abbey', 'Suffragette', 'Ex Machina', 'Far From the Madding Crowd' and most recently 'Pan', in Film and TV. She was a Principal Hairdresser for the London Olympics in 2012, working on both the opening and closing ceremonies. 


Since graduating from Delamar 8 years ago, Holly has been busy carving out a successful career working in TV drama and feature films. She has worked all over the world on productions including ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Fortitude’, ‘Clash of the Titans’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘This Is England’ and ‘Stratton’.



With a wealth of experience over 20 years, Helen has worked in TV and Film as a Designer, Supervisor and Artist. She entered the industry as an experienced hairdresser, and her work spans both contemporary and period eras. Credits include ’Spooks’, ’The Last King of Scotland’, ‘A Royal Night Out’, ‘Crimson Petal and The White’, ’The Merchant of Venice’, and ’The Graham Norton Show’.



Having always had a passion for theatre, Emma has worked on many shows in the West End such as ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Jersey Boys’, ‘Wicked’, and ‘Mamma Mia’. Emma is also a key member of Sarah Weatherburn’s prestigious facial hair team, which has made the beards, moustaches and sideburns for countless productions such as the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings/Hobbit films, ‘Pirates of The Caribbean’, ‘War Horse’, ‘World War Z’, ‘Anna Karenina’, and ‘Rush’, to name a few.



Angie’s varied body of work includes TV dramas such as ‘Lucan’, ‘Hacks’, and ‘City of Vice’, as well as films such as ‘Theatre of Dreams’, ‘Horrid Henry: The Movie’ and ‘The Firm’. In 2006 Angie was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Make-up in a miniseries for ‘Ten Commandments’. Always keen to encourage and inspire the next generation of make-up artists, Angie has supported our students by giving them work placements in her team.
