Advanced Fashion Course - 5 Weeks
Take your fashion make-up skills to a new level with our advanced 5-week course in fashion make-up.
What you'll learn
You'll examine all areas of fashion make-up in depth, as well as learning the latest creative techniques and trends. Learning is through a combination of tutor demonstrations and workshops. The course ends with a final assessed fashion shoot with a professional photographer and models to provide you with a fashion photo to add to your portfolio.
"After Graduating from Delamar, I've been lucky enough to experience a wide variety of work; photo shoots, films, television and theatre. Delamar has supported me hugely and helped me to find great work, as well as providing me with all the skills required to be independent and find work for myself. How you'll learn it
The five weeks of the course build on your existing skills and finish with a professional fashion photo shoot.
Week 1
You'll work on commercial looks, editorial, cream on cream techniques, and how to follow a fashion brief.
Week 2
In your second week, you'll be expanding your product knowledge and studying beauty airbrushing, airbrush techniques, and stencilling etc, as well as working on individual projects.
Week 3
Week three will see you working with powders and watercolours, as well as dealing with body make-up and contemporary hair techniques and styling.
Week 4
Your fourth week includes speed tests, glitter work, catwalk looks, and fashion trends.
Week 5
This is the week of your photo shoot with professional models and a professional photographer. This will be followed by feedback and an assessment of your shoot.

Where you'll learn it
Delamar Academy is situated right in the heart of Ealing Studios in West London. (You can learn about these famous UK film studios on our Get in touch page or on the Ealing Studios site itself.)
Our classrooms are bright and airy and you'll be working with professional lighting and equipment and in the company of professional make-up artists.
How to apply
Applicants to our advanced courses should have some experience in the techniques you'll be using. Please call us to discuss your experience to date and see whether this is the most suitable course for you. Beyond experience, there are only two requirements for entry to the course:
- If English is not your first language, you must have a good standard of spoken English (equivalent to IELTS 6);
- You must be at least 18 years old.
