Period Wigs -- 1 Week Course This short make-up course gives you basic wig and period styling skills

The Period Wigs course introduces you to the wig skills and period styling you'll need for working in Theatre, Film, and TV.

Course pre-requisite: Basic Hair

COURSE FEES

£900
A deposit of £225 and a completed enrolment form will secure you a place on the course. Use of all necessary brushes, equipment and products is included.

Course Details

You'll have fun working on real hair wigs with lace fronts, as used in Theatre, Film, and TV. The module takes you through blocking, dressing, cleaning, and washing wigs, as well as researching period styles, creating ringlets, spirals, pincurls, finger waves, and victory rolls. By the end, you will understand and be able to apply the correct styling for a particular period setting.

The course fee includes use of the combs, brushes and grips included in our complete kit.

How To Apply

Where a course has pre-requisites, you will need to do the make-up course with us at Delamar or provide us with evidence of sufficient expertise. This is for your benefit, as well as for the other students on the course.

Beyond experience, there are only two requirements for entry to the course:

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • If English is not your first language, you must have a good standard of spoken English (equivalent to IELTS 6).

No make-up experience is required.

Following a successful interview a 25% (£1,500) deposit and a completed enrolment form will guarantee your place on the course. The rest is due a month before the course starts.

Please contact us prior to booking your course as module dates (as opposed to complete course dates) can vary according to tutor availability. Once a module student has enrolled the module dates will be fixed.
