"How can one sum up in a few words what an amazing experience going to Delamar has been? It is practically impossible! For me, it has not only been the happiest and most enjoyable year of my life, but also the most crucial in preparing me as I embark into a highly specialist and competitive industry. Never the type to bury my head in text books, the fact that the course is 100% hands-on suited me perfectly. Many of the other courses that I researched prior to enrolling at Delamar were more theory based, which completely put me off. How else does one learn how to apply make-up if you can't actually be practising it every day? Absolutely everything is covered, and I particularly like the way in which the course is structured. In the first term, the basics are taught and then they are revised again in the second term of advanced techniques. This really reinforces the skills. The fact that the tutors are still working make-up artists is invaluable. At Delamar they have also provided and continue to provide me with contact details and work experience, which is essential in the beginning, to get onto the ladder. During the year itself, I was put on work placements in groups and individually, and since leaving have been put in touch with some very useful contacts, who in turn have introduced me to further contacts. The whole Delamar experience has been amazing and I am just glad I was able to be a part of it. Attending a course at Delamar is exclusive, informative, up-to-date, challenging, but most of all, fun! I feel proud when people ask me where I trained and I say 'Delamar'!"Lauren Whitworth
